ThiDaniel got his start at 3 years old when he stole the spotlight during his brother's school recital. He freestyled a song and impressed everyone, including a Julliard teacher who later taught him piano at 5 years old. Of African-American and Puerto Rican descent, ThiDaniel is a military brat whose father, an Army colonel, passed on his love of classic rock and kickstarted his idolization of Jimi Hendrix, leading him to take up guitar. With all of his bubbling talent, ThiDaniel attended Berklee College of Music to perfect his technical skills, but he later dropped out.
